Global Crane Services Supplies Heavy Lift Crawler Cranes and SPMTs for Pre-Assembly Activities at the Port of Nigg for Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm

The contract for Onshore Crane and Logistics Operations for the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm was awarded to Global Port Services (Scotland) by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.

The contract involved the provision of Heavy Lift Crawler Cranes under Contract Lift, SPMTs, and associated lifting personnel for all loading/offloading, storage, and marshalling of wind tower components.

Once fully operational, the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm will stand as Scotland’s largest offshore wind facility, capable of powering 450,000 homes. It comprises 84 x 7MW offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 588MW.
