To assist with the day-to-day operations of depot requirements, we are looking for a Yardman to join the team in Aberdeen. Duties include cataloguing goods inward and outward, primarily reserve tackle stock, preparing stock items for collection, and maintaining the storage area. Occasional delivery and collection of products and materials will be required using company transport.

Responsibilities:

Direct and Co-ordinate Stores activities, including:

  • Receive lifting equipment and materials from suppliers
  • Issuing lifting equipment, components, and materials for specified lifting operations in a timely manner to meet schedules
  • Goods inwards documentation checking, goods checking and acceptance of all deliveries to stock
  • Ensure all received stock is undamaged and that everything ordered is present and accounted for
  • Ensuring all lifting equipment is returned, recorded, and placed correctly back into the Stores when lifting operations are completed
  • Ensuring the General Manager is informed of low stock and other shortages which may require re-ordering
  • Ensure all products are suitably packaged and that delivery service used is adequate to meet requirements
  • With the General Manager, maintain a safe working environment within the Stores areas and all current Health and Safety legislation is observed. Including basic “housekeeping”
  • Delivery and collection of lifting equipment as required
  • Performing any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Hold a clean, current, and full driving licence
  • Forklift ticket is preferred but not essential

  • Good organisational skills.
