Due to continuous growth, Global Crane Services are looking for a Hire desk Controller to join their current team at their Aberdeen depot.
Job description of a Hire Desk Controller
The Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of customer service. Coordinating the mobile crane fleet within the Aberdeen depot to ensure they are utilised effectively. Provide support where necessary to the operations team in the day to day running of the crane fleet.
Responsibilities of a Hire Desk Controller
Engage with clientele and obtain a good understanding of their requirements.
Provide the most cost-effective solutions to clientele inquiries.
Have a good knowledge of the services we provide.
Obtain information and liaise with other parts of the depot accordingly to ensure the clients requirements are met.
Developing professional relationships with internal and external clients.
Have a confident and friendly telephone manner and be able to liaise with both clientele and all levels of our organisation.
Be proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office – Outlook and Excel.
Can work flexibly, on call in the evenings and weekends are a requirement for this role.
Work in an office environment.
Skills and Competencies
Previous experience in plant hire or similar industry is beneficial but not essential.
Good communication skills essential.
Good planning and organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Ability to remain composed under pressure and effectively solve problems.
