Job Title: Crane Rigger
Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: UK & Ireland

We are seeking a skilled Crane Rigger to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and securing loads for lifting, guiding crane operators during lifts, and ensuring all rigging operations are conducted safely and efficiently in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and prepare rigging equipment before use.
  • Determine the appropriate rigging gear and lifting techniques for each load.
  • Attach loads to cranes using slings, shackles, chains, and other rigging equipment.
  • Communicate clearly with crane operators using hand signals or radio communication.
  • Monitor and guide loads during lifting and placement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on rigging gear.
  • Maintain accurate records of lifts and equipment usage.
  • Collaborate with lift supervisors and crane operators to plan lifts.
  • Assist with the assembling of heavy lattice/telescopic cranes as part of a crane crew.

Qualifications Required:

  • Proven experience as a rigger or in a similar role in construction or industrial settings.
  • Certification in rigging and/or crane signalling (e.g. CPCS or NPORS)
  • Strong understanding or load dynamics, lifting techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret lift plans and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor and indoor work environments.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
  • May involve working at heights or in confined spaces.
